At Workwear-USA we believe that cost effective solutions through eCommerce offer most value to our customers since it allows us to minimize overhead costs and lower our prizes.
Highest Quality
We have chosen to work with products from Blåkläder/Blaklader. Blåkläder is a brand from Sweden, a country with the toughest occupational safety rules in the world! Who knows better about proper workwear than the Swedes!?
Sustainable Workwear
Workwear-USA LLC strives to offer sustainable products with minimum environmental impact, something our products from Blåkläder really show. Long-term thinking is in Blåkläder’s DNA. Ever since the brand began back in 1959 the aim has been to provide sustainable workwear for customers with high demands. Timeless designs and durable products with a long lifespan is the model for Blåkläder. We pride ourselves on our product commitment; “Lifetime guarantee on seams”. This reflects our strong belief in our products, as well as our promise to the customer that the seams will not wear out before the garment itself becomes outdated. Blåkläder actively works to minimize environmental impact and ensure the wellbeing of the people producing their products. Yet the fundamental idea to create and produce functional, long-lasting workwear is as much a part of sustainable thinking now as it was then.
THE OEKO-TEX® SAFE TEXTILES
OEKO-TEX® is one of the world’s best-known and most well-established organizations for product safety testing of potentially harmful substances in textiles, leather and accessory materials. The OEKO-TEX® 100 standard is not an “eco-label” but tests that products do not contain chemicals known to be harmful to health.
The requirements of this standard depend on the intended use of the end product and are divided into four different product classes:
- Product class I – Products for infants up to the age of three (underwear, romper suits, bed linen, terry products, etc.)
- Product class II – Products which have a large part of their surface in direct contact with the skin (underwear, bed linen, t-shirts, socks, etc.)
- Product class III – Products which have no or only a small part of their surface in direct contact with the skin (jackets, coats, etc.)
- Product class IV – Furnishing materials for decorative purposes (curtains, table linen and loose furniture covers, etc.)
Blåkläder requires that all constituent materials and components meet the requirements of Product class II, including for jackets and coats. This means that garments from Blåkläder are safe to wear directly against the body. It is not only the wearer of the final garment who benefits from OEKO-TEX®-tested products. Everyone who comes into contact with the materials and the finished product during the stitching, warehousing and retailing benefits from the limited chemical contents.
STANDARDS THAT CAN LEAD TO DEVELOPMENT
To ensure the social, ethical and environmentally sustainable standard in production Blåkläder comply with SA 8000 (Social Accountability), ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environment). Conscious Sustainable Production is our way of influencing the lives of our colleagues, our suppliers and their families. PRODUCTION ACCORDING TO SA8000, an international standard that reassures that there are adequate processes and systems to secure human rights of the employees in their workplace.
That is our way to try to make a difference
